How we make money
We think you should know exactly how we get paid, because it affects what you should and shouldn't take from what we publish.

Right now, Sage isn't paid by anyone
Sage doesn't receive money from any insurance company, agency or comparison site today. No one pays us when you read an article, ask the Sage advisor a question, or call the number on our site.
How that will change, and when we'll tell you
We're working on an agreement with Bindable, a licensed independent insurance agency. Once Sage Insurance AI, LLC is licensed as an insurance agency and that agreement takes effect, Sage will be paid a share of the commission Bindable earns when someone we refer buys a policy. That means we'll earn more when you buy than when you don't. We'll update this page with the details before any payment begins.
We don't earn anything today
Sage is a trade name of Sage Insurance AI, LLC, a Washington company. Sage doesn't sell insurance, bind coverage or quote rates, and it can't give advice about your specific situation. When you're ready to buy, you buy from a licensed agent, not from Sage. Licensing details: /licensing
Our partners
- Bindable, a licensed independent insurance agency. When you call the number on our site, a licensed Bindable agent answers. Bindable compares carriers and, if you choose, sells and binds the policy.
This list is kept current. If we add a partner, it appears here before we send anyone to them.
What that means for you
Read what we publish as education, and confirm anything that matters with a licensed agent before you decide. Once Sage is paid on policies sold, our incentive is for you to buy through a partner. That's why our content doesn't recommend a policy or a company, and why this page will always say how we're paid.
How compensation stays out of what we publish
Our Editorial Independence Policy sets out how compensation is kept separate from editorial judgment. Published content is written by our editorial team and reviewed for accuracy and compliance by a licensed producer. Partner agreements don't buy coverage, placement or a favorable mention. Today, no one at Sage is paid on any policy you buy. When that changes, this page will say so. Read more about who we are on our About page.
